Inspired by the ancient Gurukul system of education, Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj (Shree Dharmjivandasji Swami), a revered saint and devoted follower of Lord Swaminarayan, founded the first Swaminarayan Gurukul in Gujarat, India, in May 1948.
His visionary efforts gradually blossomed into a network of Gurukul institutions across India and abroad. Today, these centres have become renowned modern educational hubs that revive the essence of India’s ancient system — blending Science, Sports, and Spirituality to nurture well-rounded individuals.

Kalpesh is a proud Swaminarayan Gurukul alumnus, where he received a modern education enriched with spiritual and cultural values. Alongside subjects like math, science, technology, and languages, his daily routine included yoga and meditation. It was here that his passion for dance and dedication to promoting cultural diversity began—later inspiring the vision for K’z Dance Entertainment.
Swaminarayan Gurukul organises Hindu lifestyle seminars and cultural events across India, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Africa, and the UAE. Kalpesh is contributing since 2004 by volunteering his time and also choreographing cultural theme-based dances and preparing acts for musical dramas at these events.
