Festival of Colours
Two Suffolk schools became a burst of colour last week – as the pupils took part in vibrant Holi celebrations. Pupils from Mendlesham and Bacton Primary Schools, near Stowmarket, were treated to a visit from choreographer Kalpesh Zalavadiya who showed them a range of Garba and Bhangra dance moves. After dancing in formation on the playground, the children got the chance to mark each other with colourful powdered paints.
Holi festival
Children, families and staff from Ellington Infant School in Ramsgate took part in a colour-filled celebration in honour of the Hindu festival Holi on Thursday, March 30.
Holi Festival of Colour
All of the children joined in enthusiastically and really enjoyed learning about the traditional music and colour dance used in this celebration of Spring. We celebrated Holi this year to support our learning about a variety of religions and religious celebrations. Mrs Hartley is working towards our Quality Mark in RE and this evidence will help to demonstrate or hard work in this area of the curriculum.
